What we collect
Nothing. SoloWrite has no user accounts, no sign-up, no analytics or tracking frameworks, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporters that phone home, and no servers of our own. The app makes no network requests to us — because there is no "us" to send anything to. In App Store terms, its privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
Where your notes live
Your notes are plain .md (Markdown) files. They are stored on your device and, if you have iCloud Drive enabled, in your personal iCloud Drive (inside the SoloWrite folder) so they can sync between your iPhone and your Mac.
That storage belongs to you and is governed by your agreement with Apple. Apple handles iCloud data according to its own privacy policy; SoloWrite simply reads and writes files in your container and has no access to your Apple Account, credentials or any other iCloud content.
Files you open from Finder (Mac)
If you choose to open a Markdown file with the Mac app (for example by double-clicking it in Finder), SoloWrite reads and saves that single file on your disk, at your request. It is never copied, uploaded or indexed anywhere.
Third parties
SoloWrite includes no third-party SDKs, no ads and no external services. The only party involved in storing your content is Apple (iCloud), under your own Apple Account.
Children
SoloWrite collects no data from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future feature required any form of data handling — the update will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date before it takes effect.
